Overview
An effective regulatory system plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of health products, spanning from their development in the laboratory to their administration in health facilities. This system serves as a cornerstone for achieving high-quality prevention, diagnosis, and treatment and is an indispensable element of the World Health Organization's (WHO) drive towards universal health coverage (UHC). Moreover, it is a significant contributor to WHO's objective of reaching the "triple billion" target, which seeks to expand the number of people benefiting from universal health coverage, enhance protection against health emergencies, and promote improved health and wellbeing for one billion people each.
