Derived classifications
Derived classifications are extensions of the core reference classifications that allow for further depth within a particular area or setting. WHO works with specialist user groups to develop derived classifications.
Related classifications
Related classifications are included in the WHO-FIC to describe important aspects of health and functioning or of the health system which complement reference or derived classifications.
