Climate Change and Health
WHO has been working on climate change and health for over 25 years - advocating, collecting evidence and providing comprehensive support to countries in dealing with health effects of climate change.

Climate change and health toolkit

Engagement with other sectors

In order to effectively respond to the health impacts posed by climate change, the health community has to engage several non-health sectors, including the meteorological sector, water and sanitation, as well as food, energy and housing. In addition, and as per article 4.1.f. of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, all mitigation and adaptation programmes or policies should consider their impact on health, using relevant tools (e.g. by performing health impact assessments).
