Global Malaria Programme
The WHO Global Malaria Programme (GMP) is responsible for coordinating WHO's global efforts to control and eliminate malaria. Its work is guided by the "Global technical strategy for malaria 2016–2030" adopted by the World Health Assembly in May 2015 and updated in 2021.

New and updated WHO malaria guidance

WHO regularly convenes the world's leading malaria experts to review available evidence and advise on recommendations to control and eliminate malaria. The consolidated WHO guidelines for malaria, launched in February 2021, bring together all of the Organization’s current malaria guidance on the MAGICapp online platform. The latest update to the WHO guidelines for malaria was published on 30 November 2024. All WHO malaria guidance can also be found in the Malaria Toolkit app.

The following is a list of recently published guidance and an overview of new or updated malaria guidance that WHO expects to publish between June and December 2025. The list is updated periodically as new information becomes available (last update on 11 August 2025).
