The main objective of the Surveillance, Monitoring and Reporting unit is to support the collection, analysis, and dissemination of country-level risk factor information to inform and improve public health policy.
Oral health country profiles
The Global Oral Health Status Report 2022 was launched in November 2022 providing the first–ever comprehensive picture of oral disease burden and highlighting challenges and opportunities to accelerate progress towards universal health coverage for oral health. This launch included the introduction of oral health country profiles based on the latest available data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) project, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and global WHO surveys.

Country profiles present selected data, statistics and information to provide national health profiles at given points in time.
