UN Network E-Learning Package: Addressing Racial Discrimination and Strengthening the Protection of Minorities, Indigenous Peoples and other Population Groups in United Nations Programming Processes
In 2021, led by WHO, the Leave No One Behind Pillar of the United Nations Network on Racial Discrimination and Protection of Minorities designed and implemented this month-long course.
The course focuses on the following objectives:
- Improving understanding of the concepts, principles, and frameworks for addressing racial discrimination and protection of minorities, peoples of African descent and indigenous peoples' rights in programming.
- Improving integration of a focus on racial discrimination and protection of minorities, indigenous peoples, and other population groups for policy-making.
- Identifying interventions for addressing racial discrimination and protection of minorities, indigenous peoples, and other population groups.

Community of Practice Sessions on Tackling racial discrimination and strengthening the protection of minorities
In 2022, WHO, in coordination with the Leave No One Behind Pillar of the United Nations Network on Racial Discrimination and Protection of Minorities organized three Community of Practice sessions for participants from 13 United Nations country teams
offering a platform for follow-up and regional expert input into tackling racial discrimination and strengthening the protection of minorities.
1. Special session on the Racial discrimination and the International Decade of Indigenous Languages
2. Special session on the Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent
3. Special session on the Implementation of the Hate Speech Strategy
Sensitization session and round table on Health and Ethnicity
In 2022, WHO convened a round table on health and ethnicity methodologies, approaches and tools for use at the country level for tracking racial discrimination and promoting intercultural health.
