Description of the website

The European Vaccination Information portal is a member of the WHO-led project Vaccine Safety Net (VSN).

The website contains information on the safety and monitoring of vaccines in the EU; explanations on the benefits of vaccination and how vaccines are made. It also offers factsheets of five vaccine-preventable diseases and a list of official websites on vaccination of all EU countries.

The website was jointly created by three EU agencies, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, European Medicines Agency and the European Commission. It is funded by these agencies.

Website’s content or editorial policy

All contents of the website are reviewed by the three agencies’ experts, e.g., on vaccine-preventable diseases, vaccines safety, monitoring, pharmacovigilance and policy makers.
