In the Netherlands, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport is responsible for the National Immunization Program. RIVM is researching the safety of vaccines together with universities and also, describes which conditions the vaccine must meet.

The Rijksvaccinatieprogramma's websites are members of the WHO-led project Vaccine Safety Net (VSN).
Our websites provide information on the benefit of vaccinations, how vaccines work, and possible adverse reactions.
The website for professionals also publishes scientific reports about the National Immunisation Programme in the Netherlands. It gives a description of the infectious diseases against which the RVP protects.
The website for parents includes a section with frequently asked questions and another about the history of the Dutch vaccination programme. It contains links for more information about the diseases and adverse reactions.

Website's content or editorial policy
The content of the site is reviewed at least once a year and updated with every change in the vaccination programme. The team Communication RVP is responsible for the content, under supervision of Hans van Vliet - National Immunisation Programme Manager.
