Description of the website

The website of the Viral Hepatitis Prevention Board is a member of the WHO-led project Vaccine Safety Net (VSN).

The VHPB website is destined to opinion leaders, policymakers, and health care professionals. The site provides the following information:

  • scientific publications of advisers related to viral hepatitis (VH)
  • presentations given at VHPB meetings and meeting conclusions
  • background document of the meetings
  • general information on viral hepatitis
  • VHPB project reports and newsletters
  • Links to relevant websites
  • Relevant news of other organizations or events on VH awareness raising

The website is updated on a regular basis.

Website's sponsorship policy

VHPB is supported by unrestricted grants from the vaccine industry, several universities in Europe and other institutions. In the past, VHPB also received support from the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization Fund and the Children's Vaccine Program at PATH for its activities in CEE and NIS.

For VHPB and its advisors strict operational and scientific independence is essential. Travel and subsistence related to VHPB meetings of VHPB advisers and invited experts are reimbursed according to the rules of the University of Antwerp. VHPB does not pay honorary or other forms of remuneration to advisers or experts invited at meetings.

Editorial control of the site rests entirely with the VHPB secretariat.

Website's content or editorial policy

Information on the website is published and updated on a regular basis by members of the VHPB secretariat. At least once a year, all sections are reviewed and if needed updated. All reasonable precautions have been taken by VHPB to verify the information contained on this website.
