Welcome to WHO Viet Nam's new website!
This website will serve as an important communication tool for WHO’s partners, the media and the general public.
WHO works across more than 30 programme areas in Viet Nam - from infectious disease control and food safety to maternal health and injury prevention.
“The site is an excellent one-stop-shop for anyone wanting to learn about WHO Viet Nam – what we do, our goals, mission, challenges and achievements,” Dr. Jean-Marc Olivé, WHO Representative in Viet Nam said.
“It is extremely important for our stakeholders to be able to easily access health information that is specific to Viet Nam.
“I am particularly pleased that we were able to establish a full Vietnamese language site. I hope the Vietnamese community, both at home and overseas, will access the site and keep across the latest health issues.
“Delivering timely and easy to understand health information for everyone is an important part of WHO’s work,” Dr Olivé said.
The site also has interesting additional features including a media page, stories from the field, recruitment details, documents and publications and lists links to our major partners.
The country site delivers:
- up-to-date information on all WHO programmes across Viet Nam;
- advice and news on the latest health issues, outbreaks and emergencies;
- a database of all press releases and speeches from WHO Viet Nam office;
- information on upcoming events in Vietnam and across the region;
- access to the WHO library - which is a wonderful resource for health professionals, students and the general public;
- information relating to the One UN initiative and direct links to UN agencies and partners.
