Internal Audit is an independent, objective assurance and advisory activity designed to add value and improve the Organization's operations. It helps the Organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes.

Evaluation promotes accountability and organizational learning. It seeks to understand why, and to what extent intended and unintended results were achieved and to analyze their implications. Evaluation informs planning, programming, budgeting, implementation and reporting, and contributes to evidence-based policymaking and organizational effectiveness. An evaluation is a systematic and impartial assessment of an activity, project, programme, strategy, policy, topic, sector, operational area or institutional performance. It analyses the achievement of expected and unexpected results by examining the results chain, processes, contextual factors and causality using criteria such as relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability. It provides credible, useful, evidence-based information to support timely decision-making by organizations and stakeholders.

Investigation supports the Organization in managing risk and enhancing transparency and accountability through independent, impartial, evidence-based and results-oriented investigations that prevent, detect, and deter misconduct and wrongdoing against its persons, operations, and reputation.
