Overview
- The month of March 2025 has witnessed zero caseloads of culture-confirmed cholera cases and zero deaths (CFR-0%), similar to February 2025, ending the upsurge that started in June 2024.
- Dengue outbreak season is over, and by Mar 2025, transmission has been controlled with weekly cases stabilized to endemic thresholds (<50 weekly cases).
- In March 2025, the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox's Bazar reported around 10,000 cases of varicella (chickenpox). This number is almost double the cases reported the previous month in February (6,099), indicating a significant increase in infections.
- The month of March 2025 was observed with low health services utilization numbers (OPD, IPD) compared to last few months which is certainly due to Ramadan as it was observed in the previous years
