Monitoring Vaccine Preventable Disease burden

Overview

WHO is supporting Bangladesh in monitoring disease burden of vaccine preventable diseases such as Polio, measles and rubella, neonatal tetanus, Japanese encephalitis, diphtheria and others through established surveillance and immunization officer surveillance network. Such robust system of surveillance has supported country in eradication, elimination and control of VPDs and new vaccine introduction.
