Supporting an immunization coverage of over 90% for all antigens in all districts
Overview
The government of Bangladesh is committed to ensure vaccination of every child. WHO is supporting government to use innovative tools and ideas in immunization to achieve full vaccination and leave no one behind. The new innovation includes electronic immunization registration to trach every child for vaccination, develop/update robust micro plan with engagement of local political leaders, mobile tracking for drop-out children; involvement of religious leaders and primary teachers; engaging local leaders for micro planning, monitoring and demand generation activities mobile tracking for drop-out children; involvement of religious leaders and primary teachers; engaging local leaders for micro planning, monitoring and demand generation activities.

- Full vaccination coverage in Bangladesh is around 88% (as per CES 2016).
- Evaluated immunization coverage in urban areas is lower than rural Penta3 coverage in urban is 87.7% where as in rural is 90.6 (CES 2016)
