An alarming number of health workers have also been harmed while responding to COVID-19 pandemic. Safety of health workers has a significant impact on safety of patients. In view of this, the theme of World Patient Safety Day this year is Health Worker Safety: A Priority for Patient Safety.   If you are a health care leader, policy maker or politician, invest in health worker safety and make it a national health priority. Speak up for health worker safety!
