The Child and Adolescent Cause of Death Estimation Group (CA-CODE) which includes representatives from UNICEF, WHO, and academic experts worldwide produces produces estimates of child under 5 cause of death using a Bayesian model and a set of covariates according to type and quality of country data.
Method of estimation of global and regional aggregates:
Global and regional estimates are derived from numbers of estimated deaths by cause and population for age groups 0 year and 1-4 year, aggregated by relevant region.
