Health Inequality Country Profiles
The Health Inequality Country Profiles provide an overview of the state of health inequality in 195 countries, areas and territories, based on available disaggregated data for indicators used within the impact measurement of the WHO's Fourteenth General Programme of Work (GPW 14), many of which are Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators.
The data can be explored interactively to answer questions such as: What is the latest situation of inequality? How have inequalities changed over time? How much could national average improve if inequalities were eliminated? The country profiles also highlight gaps in disaggregated data that limit the ability to monitor progress.
GPW 14 defines WHO's global health strategy for the period 2025–2028, aiming to promote, provide and protect health and well-being for all, while advancing health equity and building resilience. The country profiles present data for GPW 14 indicators disaggregated by age, sex, economic status, education, and place of residence. Disaggregated data are drawn from the WHO Health Inequality Data Repository, with data originally coming from a variety of publicly available sources.
Please note that some of the data originate from external published sources and do not represent WHO official estimates. Please refer to the Indicator Metadata for more information about the data.
