Comprising 27 municipalities, the Region encompasses a total area of 1337 km2, and has a population of 114 397 (2020) (1). It is one of 12 statistical regions and nine health regions in the country.

Overview

The Pomurje Region is situated in the north-eastern part of Slovenia, bordering with Austria, Croatia and Hungary. Comprising 27 municipalities, the Region encompasses a total area of 1337 km2, and has a population of 114 397 (2020) (1). It is one of 12 statistical regions and nine health regions in the country.
