Global Task Force on TB Impact Measurement
In June 2006, the Global TB Programme (GTB) in the World Health Organization (WHO) established a Global Task Force on TB Impact Measurement, with the TB monitoring, evaluation and strategic information (TME) unit in GTB acting as the secretariat.
Data analysis workshop for TB prevalence surveys, Geneva, Switzerland, 24-27 June 2014
The TB monitoring and evaluation team in WHO headquarters (HQ) organized this workshop for countries that had recently completed a national TB prevalence survey (Ghana, Indonesia, Malawi, Sudan and Zambia). The analysis of such surveys is complicated, highly demanding technically and requires intensive assistance from individuals with the appropriate analytical skills and relevant experience. This was the second analysis workshop of its kind, after the one held in Geneva 26-28 November 2013.
The workshop had two objectives:
- To facilitate the conduct and completion of all recommended analyses of the results from the national TB prevalence surveys implemented in Ghana, Indonesia, Malawi, Sudan and Zambia.
- To promote standardization of analytical approaches and reporting of results from the national TB prevalence surveys implemented in Ghana, Indonesia, Malawi, Sudan and Zambia.
