Mpox IHR Emergency Committee 2024
The IHR Emergency Committee regarding the upsurge of mpox 2024 held its first meeting on 14 August 2024. On the same day, the WHO Director-General determined the event to constitute a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC), and, on 19 August 2024, he issued temporary recommendations to States Parties. The Committee met on four occasions and, after each meeting, the WHO Director-General issued a revised set of temporary recommendations, the last of which was on 9 June 2025.
