Orientation of Emergency Unit Improvement and Implementation Plan_2_1 March_Nepal

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), with support from the World Health Organization (WHO), conducted orientation on the Emergency Unit Improvement and Implementation Plan for 195 healthcare workers from January to February 2023. The orientation focused on integrating various tools related to triage, checklists, resuscitation, emergency, and trauma care into the existing Emergency Unit design and flow processes at all Global Emergency and Trauma Care Initiative (GETI) site hospitals. Koshi Hospital, Narayani Hospital, Bharatpur Hospital, Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, Bheri Hospital, Surkhet Provincial Hospital, and Seti Provincial Hospital are the GETI site hospitals in Nepal. Upon completion of the orientation and discussion,  the MoHP handed over the endorsed Emergency Care Tools (ECT) to each respective hospital.  WHO’s GETI was established in 2019 to improve national emergency care systems and rapidly enhance the capacity to provide quality emergency care in countries, ultimately aiming to save lives.
