Gym Equipment Handed Over to MoHP

Kathmandu, Bagmati Province – WHO, Country Office for Nepal, has handed over 10 sets of gym equipment to the Department of Ayurveda and Alternative Medicines, Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP). The equipment, which includes weightlifting stations, cycles, and treadmills have been installed in 10 public sites, selected by the MoHP across five provinces in Nepal. Aligned with the Multisectoral Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of NCDs, this initiative aims to facilitate easy access to opportunities for physical activity and promote the adoption of healthier habits to reduce NCDs such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, and chronic respiratory diseases.
