Dang, Lumbini province - The Health Emergency Disaster Management Unit (HEDMU), Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), in collaboration with WHO Country Office for Nepal, organized a dissemination program of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Emergency Medical Teams (EMTs) in Lumbini province. Over 100 senior officials from the federal and provincial MoHP, hub hospitals, security forces, national experts and EMT focal persons participated in the program and were oriented on the global EMT initiative, its deployment frameworks and post-deployment evaluations. Similar dissemination programs will be held in other provinces. This program was supported by the European Union.
