Kathmandu, Bagmati Province - The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has disseminated the National Strategy for Viral Hepatitis B and C 2023-2030, which is the country's first strategic document for implementation of the viral hepatitis B and C services in Nepal. The strategy, endorsed in March 2023 and developed with support from WHO, Country Office for Nepal, and key stakeholders, aims to strengthen existing health services to prevent viral hepatitis, and expand diagnostics and treatment services to communities and vulnerable populations. The plan was developed in consultations with partners from all three levels of the government. In collaboration with all partners, WHO will provide catalytic support and technical guidance to implement the strategy.
