Kaski, Gandaki Province – The Electronic Medical Recording (EMR) System was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Gandaki Province at the Infectious Disease Hospital in the province. The Ministry of Health and Population and WHO, Country Office for Nepal, had launched the system, which was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United States Department of State (USDOS). With this new system, patient data will be securely stored digitally in a comprehensive repository, enabling early detection of public health emergencies and informed decision-making for the formulation of appropriate health responses. This will also strengthen International Health Regulations capacities and health information management, alongside assisting policymakers in improving national healthcare outcomes.
