Kathmandu, Bagmati Province - The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), with coordination from P4H Network, held a one-day stakeholder's consultative workshop to advance the National Health Financing Strategy Implementation Plan 2023-2033. In the workshop, supported by WHO Country Office for Nepal, over 55 stakeholders from the MoHP; National Planning Commission; Health Insurance Board; Social Security Fund; World Bank; Asian Development Bank; UNICEF; GIZ; USAID; Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and partners were in attendance. Stakeholders held discussions to understand the government’s needs and priorities and align their support towards the government's plan to implement the strategy, which aims to manage finances fairly to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and facilitate people's access to quality health services without worrying about financial risks. WHO and partners will continue to support the effective implementation of the strategy and strengthen Nepal’s health systems.
