19-23 September | Kathmandu, Bagmati Province – The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), with support from WHO, conducted a Simulation Exercise to test the coordination and communication mechanisms of Health Emergency Operation Center, Provincial Health Emergency Operation Centers, Department of Health Services, hub and satellite hospitals, search and rescue teams, and ambulance dispatch services. This activity, funded by U.S. Department of State, included both functional and field exercises. With the gaps identified, WHO will now support the MoHP to update existing guidelines of various institutions and conduct orientations for its implementation. Simulation Exercise is a key component of the IHR Monitoring and Evaluation Framework.
