Kathmandu, Bagmati province - Over 180 representatives from the Government of Nepal, partners, media and students from various schools observed World Rabies Day at Central Zoo in an event organized by the Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, WHO Country Office for Nepal and FAO Nepal. The event emphasized the importance of multi-sectoral collaboration under the One Health approach to achieve zero human deaths from dog-mediated rabies by 2030, with a key highlight being an interactive quiz competition for students on rabies. WHO reaffirms its commitment to support the national program to strengthen rabies control and prevention.
