Kathmandu, Bagmati province - The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MoALD), with support from WHO Country Office for Nepal and FAO, held a one-day consultative workshop to finalize the draft of the National Rabies Elimination Strategy 2024-2030. Stakeholders from human health, animal health and environmental health sectors refined the draft to ensure a comprehensive approach to rabies elimination. WHO will now support the national programs in endorsing this crucial strategy which will serve as a guiding framework for coordinated actions across the various sectors to eliminate rabies in Nepal, complementing the national One Health Strategy.
