Web-based consultation on the development of feasible global targets for 2030 on integrated people-centred eye care

Background

Paragraph 4 of resolution WHA73.4 (‘Integrated people-centered eye care, including preventable vision impairment and blindness’) requested WHO Director-General “to prepare, in consultation with Member States, recommendations on feasible global targets for 2030 on integrated people-centred eye care, focusing on effective coverage of refractive error and effective coverage of cataract surgery, for consideration by the Seventy-fourth World Health Assembly in 2021, through the 148th session of the Executive Board”.

To this end, the WHO Secretariat is hosting a web-based consultation from the 13th to the 30th of October 2020 on a discussion paper dated 13th October 2020. Member States, UN organizations and non-State actors are invited to submit their comments through e-mail.  The response can be given in any of the six official languages of WHO: English, French, Spanish, Russian, Chinese or Arabic. The consultation is not open to individuals.
