Strategic planning meeting of WHO network of collaborating centres and organizations in official relations for ear and hearing care

29 January 2026 13:30 – 16:00 CET

The WHO programme for ear and hearing care works to make ear and hearing care a reality for all by integrating services within national health systems, in line with the principles of universal health coverage. WHO collaborates with designated centres, academic institutions, and organizations worldwide to advance this goal. Collaborating centres such as research institutes, universities, or academic departments are officially designated by WHO to support its programmes and priorities.

WHO is organizing a meeting of the ear and hearing care collaborating centres and organizations in official relations to:

  • Share updates on WHO’s current activities and seek engagement in key initiatives

  • Present an overview of the ear and hearing care programme

  • Discuss activities planned for the next biennium

  • Identify areas for collaboration among individual centres, organizations, and the broader network

Participants will contribute to shaping the next phase of global collaboration to make ear and hearing care accessible for everyone, everywhere
