Indonesia joined the global movement with a Declaration on cervical cancer elimination. Ahead of the day of action, President Joko Widodo announced the development of the National plan for cervical cancer elimination in Indonesia (2023–2030) during a summit in the United States alongside President Joe Biden. Both leaders affirmed their shared commitment to eliminating cervical cancer in line with WHO’s Global strategy to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer as a public health problem.
