Review of contextual factors to inform the development of the WHO guideline on the use of low-sodium salt substitutes

Overview

As part of the process to develop WHO guidelines, contextual factors that may affect the implementation of the interventions must be considered. To inform the development of the WHO guideline on the use of low-sodium salt substitutes, a review was conducted on the contextual factors including the importance or priority of the problem being addressed, the values and preferences related to the health outcomes, resource implications, equity and human rights, acceptability and feasibility.
