Regional action framework on digital health in the Western Pacific

Overview

The Regional Action Framework on Digital Health in the Western Pacific, which was endorsed by Member States at the 75th Regional Committee meeting, aims to guide countries in developing and implementing digital health strategies. It emphasizes a people-centric approach, addressing governance, regulation, and ethical use of technology. The framework is guided by principles such as equity, open innovation, accountability, pragmatism, and sustainability. It identifies five key domains: governance, socio-technical infrastructure, financing and economics, digital health solutions, and data. The framework also outlines the need for robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track progress and ensure the effectiveness of digital health initiatives.
