Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine

HPV vaccination is recommended as part of a coordinated and comprehensive strategy to prevent cervical cancer and other diseases caused by HPV.

Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Maldives have introduced HPV nationally, while India and Indonesia have introduced in some districts. In Bangladesh and Nepal, HPV demonstration projects have been completed and national introduction plans are underway. Plans for introduction have been approved for Myanmar.
