Member states have been developing multi-sectoral action plans for prevention and control of NCDs. WHO works with Member States to develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks with smart measurable indicators and targets and benchmarks as an integral part national NCD multi-sectoral plans. WHO also provides technical assistance in implementing some key components of monitoring systems (e.g. population-based surveys) to measure and monitor some of these indicators.
