Overview
The Regional Overview of Food Security and Nutrition in Asia and the Pacific serves as a critical annual publication that evaluates regional progress towards achieving food security and nutrition. In 2024, 25 million people in Asia–Pacific escaped hunger. However, the region still has nearly 40% of the world’s hungry, mostly in Southern Asia. Child malnutrition and anaemia remain high and healthy diets are costly. This year’s report calls for transformative change across the region’s agrifood systems to deliver on food security and better nutrition.
