Postgraduate researchers committed to addressing infectious diseases of poverty and shaping the future of global health can now apply for a postgraduate fellowship.

TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, in its mission to empower the next generation of researchers and leaders from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) have announced their call for applications offering support through the Postgraduate Training Scheme.

About the Programme

This initiative, led by TDR in collaboration with universities in LMICs, aims to build the capacity to lead research and interventions in infectious diseases of poverty, with a particular focus on implementation research. By providing comprehensive training grants, TDR paves the way for emerging professionals to embark on impactful careers in research and public health, contributing to the TDR Global network.

Scholarship Details

Selected candidates will receive full academic scholarships in collaboration with partner universities in LMICs. The scholarships cover a range of expenses, including full-time tuition and board, dissertation research/fieldwork costs, return air travel from home country to institution, and contributions towards essential textbooks and learning materials.

Since its inception in 2015, TDR's program has supported 447 Master’s students, fostering gender diversity with 51% women, 48% men, and 1% transgender individuals.
