Re-thinking malaria: Innovation in service delivery for acceleration of malaria elimination in WHO South-East Asia
WHO South-East Asia Region has made enormous and gratifying progress in its efforts, recording the steepest decline in malaria burden among all regions in recent years. Yet, the goal of a Region free of malaria by 2030 may remain distant unless efforts are reinforced, and strategies are re-visited with the resolute aim of achieving regional malaria elimination goal. This year’s World Malaria Day provides a timely occasion to engage countries to re-think. The virtual high-level roundtable would bring together senior government officials, scientists, public health experts and partners to discuss the scientific, socio-economic and policy dimensions of eliminating malaria, with a stronger focus on sub-national elimination, governance and financing.
