Implementing Global Patient Safety Action Plan 2021 – 2030 at national and subnational level

25 – 26 April 2022
Virtual

The global action plan provides strategic direction and a list of suggested actions for all stakeholders for eliminating avoidable harm in health care and improving patient safety in different practice domains through policy actions, as well as for implementation of recommendations at the point of care. These actions have been grouped under seven strategic objectives, which are further elucidated through 35 strategies, five under each of the strategic objectives, in a seven by five matrix. The action plan provides a framework for countries to develop their respective national action plans on patient safety, as well to align existing strategic instruments for improving patient safety in all clinical and health-related programmes.
