Virtual Regional consultation on reviewing the draft outline of Global Strategy on infection prevention and control in both health and long-term care settings, 2023–2031

Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) interventions have been shown to be highly effective in preventing HAI occurrence. Available data and modelling suggest that IPC is highly cost-effective and a "best buy" for public health as an approach to reducing infections and AMR in health care, improving health, and protecting health care workers.

This virtual meeting was being organized to gather comments and views  from the member states on the draft outline of the global strategy of IPC This will also provide impetus for subsequent consultative process to develop and finalize the draft Strategy before submission to 152nd Executive Board and eventually to the 76th WHA.
