Engaging patients for patient safety: advocacy brief

Overview

An advocacy brief aimed at increasing awareness about the importance of partnering with patients and families as a key intervention to promote safer care. It highlights the role of key stakeholders including governments, health care leaders, health and care workers, patient safety advocates, patient organizations and other civil society organizations in effectively engaging patients to improve patient safety. Developed in alignment with World Patient Safety Day 2023, the brief supports the campaign's theme "Engaging patients for patient safety" with the slogan “Elevate the voice of patients!”.
