Regional consultation to prioritize tobacco controlin South-East Asia with PreCOP10 and PreMOP3 meetings

The Regional consultation to prioritize tobacco control in South-East Asia with PreCOP10 (tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control) and PreMOP3 (third meeting of the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol to eliminate illicit trade in tobacco products) meetings were held on 10-13 October 2023 in Bangalore, India. The first meeting delved into the need to accelerate tobacco control at the country level across the South-East Asia Region in the post COVID-19 pandemic scenario. The PreCOP10 and PreMOP3 meetings discussed the relevant agenda items of the upcoming main COP10 and MOP3 meetings which had larger implications for South-East Asia Region. The meetings supported building consensus on common regional stand on the identified agenda items. 

This report documents the proceedings of the Regional consultation to prioritize tobacco control in South-East Asia, PreCOP10 and PreCOP3 meetings.
