Medicine Prices and Other Market Information Sources

To increase market transparency, as requested in the WHA 72.8 resolution on "Improving the transparency of markets for medicines, vaccines, and other health products,” WHO has updated the list of publicly available information on national and global sources related to pharmaceutical prices, pharmaceutical registries, clinical trials, and medicine shortages.

  • WHO has tried to categorize the type of pharmaceutical price information available based on publicly available documents related to methodology and price definitions. However, translation errors may cause inconsistencies. To request a modification of the price type, please email fairpricing@who.int indicating the source that should be modified, the correct price type, and relevant documentation supporting the change.
