Framework for Immunization Financing Assessments (2012-
16)
A methodological framework to assess financial sustainability in countries has been developed in 2012 by WHO and Partner Institutions within the Immunization Financing and Sustainable Task Team. The purpose of the framework is to gather and analyze specific information concerning the situation for countries facing financial and programmatic difficulties to strengthen their immunization systems and to outline the prospects for financing their immunization programs, including vaccines, operational costs and GAVI co-financing requirements. The framework has been applied in several countries and can be adapted to specific country context and needs.
