To analyse the STEPS surveillance data, WHO provides a set of data analysis scripts in R, a powerful and freely available statistical software. The analysis scripts and supporting documentation are available on our GitHub site.
Data presentation guides
There are a number of resources available to assist countries in presenting the results of their survey. The STEPS fact sheet presents a set of key indicators in a short, two-page document. The STEPS data book presents
suggested tables of data for all survey items, which can serve as an integral part of the survey report. Both can be generated rapidly using the available R scripts. A survey report outline and slides on survey report structure and data interpretation are also provided below.
