Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research (SRH)
Including the Human Reproduction Special Programme (HRP)

Mentorship

The HRP Alliance is leading a programme for early-career female researchers from low- and middle-income countries by partnering them with mid- to senior-level women researchers in sexual and reproductive health and rights. Mentorship is integral to research capacity strengthening and especially for female researchers in pursuit of gender equality and equity.

Participants in the 2021 pilot programme: what do they say?

"My mentor recognized my zeal for research at a time when I really needed a programme like this, helping me to prioritize. I also connected with other mentees on the programme and now we are putting together a proposal for a grant using mobile phones to improve uptake of maternal health services in Ghana, Nepal, and Pakistan."

"This program was a very interesting experience for all mentors, we have learned important tools on how to communicate with our mentees and we had the amazing opportunity to take TIME to share experiences among inspiring women."
