On 9 August 2019, Members of Parliament from 10 countries gathered in Bangkok, Thailand to launch the ASEAN-WHO South-East Asia Regional Network for Road Safety Legislators.
The goal of the network is to unite the voices of parliamentarians to strengthen advocacy efforts aimed at accelerating action to reduce road traffic deaths and injuries in the ASEAN and WHO South-East Asia Region.
Organized by the World Health Organization, the event was also attended by international experts as well as local observers.
