On 21 January 2025, the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, hosted the “National Road Safety Day” event, which included a press conference for the “Road Traffic Injury Data Collaboration: RTIDC” and the launch of the “Manual for Data Integration for Road Accident Mortality (English Version).” This manual is a collaborative effort between the Department of Disease Control and the World Health Organization (WHO) country office for Thailand.

Dr. Jos Vandelaer, the WHO representative to Thailand, along with his team, commended Thailand’s management of road injury and fatality data, highlighted as a model for road traffic injury and fatality data management at the international level.
The newly launched manual, a joint effort between the Department of Disease Control and WHO Thailand, will be shared with international community to serve as a model and guide for road traffic injury and fatality data management.
