- Make a written birth preparedness and complication readiness plan which includes:
- The health facility where you will give birth, how to get to the health facility to give birth (transport) and any expenses you will need to pay
- The name(s) of the health worker(s) who will attend the birth and their contact details
- Family and friends to provide support, and who will be the companion of choice during labour and childbirth
- Supplies for childbirth, such as clean cloths to dry and wrap the baby
